Sports are a great confidence booster!”

Legacy Basketball and Training is led by former Division 1 Coach and Player, Sara Piepho. Raised in a basketball-centric family, Sara continues a tradition of passionate competitiveness rooted in positive-thinking to improve young attitudes on and off the court.

Northern Kentucky was missing an opportunity with youth athletic programs – students were being trained but missing a true knowledge of skill development and an honest understanding of the game of basketball. Sara’s passion of basketball fundamentals drove her commitment to build Legacy Sports4Life with partner, Tedric Harwell, in 2011.

Since opening Legacy Sports4Life, Sara has trained and prepared over 150 young athletes for competition, some reaching the national-level. To achieve success, Coach Piepho evaluates a player’s skills and developmental needs – instead of coaching repetitive drills, she designs an on-point training program specific to the individual player. True to the Legacy Sports4Life mission and promise, Sara evolves student-athletes through positive mentorship and advanced athletic essentials with team-based rewards.

Sara views sports as a great confidence booster – on and off the court – in life and in everything life can bring, saying, “Any young player can improve their spirit, friendships and confidence using team-based sports as a guide and compass to improve their individual athletic and social skills. Sports are a great confidence booster!”
